Friendly reminder that my muse is not immutable. Over time their attitude, behavior, and headcanons may change. Their opinions or standings may not always be the same. I am not twisting my muse out of character by changing their opinions, I am giving them a fucking relatable quality because none of us are immutable and won’t always have the same opinion of everything.
Friendly reminder that our muses don’t always have to be friends and/or fall in love… (u‿u✿)
They can be enemies. Brutal enemies. So hateful of each other that they fall asleep plotting the other’s murder. (◉‿◉✿)
roleplayingconfessionsfromrpers:
Just a reminder that-
- You are not obligated to roleplay with everyone.
- You are not obligated to follow everyone back.
- You do not have to roleplay a pairing that you do not want to roleplay.
- You do not have to roleplay anything that you are uncomfortable with.
- You CAN drop threads. You do not have to force yourself into continuing a roleplay that you do not wish to continue or that you are having difficulty replying to.
- Your blog is YOUR blog. You can post whatever you want to on it.
- If you don’t like someone, unfollowing them is SO MUCH EASIER than starting drama and/or sending hate.
- Roleplaying is a HOBBY, not a JOB. It is supposed to be fun.
- There are real people behind roleplaying accounts. Real people that can be hurt.
Please like/reblog if you’re fine with abusive, kidnapping, torturous, generally triggering plots. I need some people to para with so yeah. Thanks.
from one person to another who gets self conscious about their writing:
hey, listen to me u shit, no one else in this world writes just like you do, no one can bring about the same exact kind of emotions you can put to words, no one could replicate a thread you have with your favorite muses; even if its the same damned prompt. no one is like you and you are fucking wonderful and beautiful and praiseworthy for it, so remember that.
PSA:Just because I’m not replying to our thread, or your starter doesn’t mean I don’t want to roleplay with you. I’m just slow. Some days I can write a fucking book, some days I can’t even write my own name. It’s in the drafts I promise I am just slow as hell.
Something I’ve noticed around here, is how shameful those that like smut are made to feel, as if such a thing is bad or isn’t qualified as actual writing. With posts like: reblog if you don’t smut, or if you do more than smut etc, it makes those that actually explore such aspects of their character feel bad, like their character’s aren’t meant to have urges that are acted upon. Smut can be a very beautiful thing, and sometimes it can just be dirty/raunchy, but that shouldn’t matter. Whenever I see someone post about their character being in the ‘mood’, they always say stuff like: ‘Gonna hide in my drafts until it passes’ or something to that same effect, because for some reason asking for fluff, violence and angst is completely okay— yet asking for smut is not. Don’t get me wrong, I know plenty of people that don’t smut and you don’t need a reason to not like it or to not want to do it, but I don’t think it’s fair to make those that do like it feel guilty or dirty. Wanting to write smut doesn’t make you any less of a writer and being horny doesn’t make your muse any less of a good character. Just like your character can be in moods where they only want fluff or angst, they can be in moods where they only want smut too. Remember, it’s your character and it’s your page, do whatever makes you happy; always.
“your character seems to smut a lot.”
“but that’s none of my business.”
